Biography

Eli Gerasimova was born in Sofia, Bulgaria.
She graduated from the St. Luke’s High School of Applied Arts with a degree in Design.
She continued her education at the New Bulgarian University, where she studied “Scenography and Contemporary Theater Forms”, and then completed a master’s degree at the Southwestern University “NeofitRilski” with a degree in “Pedagogy and Social Format of Fine Arts.”

Her love for beauty and painting was manifested in early childhood. She participated in various children’s competitions and was one of the winners.
Over the years, she has grown and has already established herself as an artist in the field of abstract art. This is confirmed by the fact that her works have been purchased and are owned by private collectors and public institutions.

At the same time, she develops the ability of a teacher to attract children to the beautiful side of art and to light the artist’s fire in them.

The author works in the field of abstract painting, expressing her bright inner spirituality through the use of a range of bright colors. She creates a specific, own world full of love and harmony.
The most remarkable aspect of her art is the color and the way she works with light and color when creating her paintings. She builds a unique relief on the canvases, enriching her painting with collage elements. She boldly experiments with different materials – paper, metal, clay, fabric and others, combining them with a new look and sound.
Regarding her approach to work, she said: “I seal everything without analyzing it. Then I transfer it to a drawing. There must be a message behind every brushstroke. A picture should look like it was painted in one breath. However, there are many hours of penetration, deepening, judgment behind it. ”
She calls her works fairy tales. Ethereal, sunny tales in which everyone can discover their inner world, their characters, their freedom of spirit, and their vision of the life around them.
Modern, abstract, and avant-garde, the artist’s paintings can be a wonderful addition to the modern interior of any home and office.
